Mid90s (2018)

In his directorial debut Mid90s, actor Jonah Hill (known for The Wolf of Wall Street, among other films) pays homage to the era in which he grew up – to the music, fashion, street slang and skate culture of the 1990s. Mid90s follows Stevie, a 13-year-old boy living in 1990s Los Angeles who spends his summer juggling his troubled home life and a group of new friends he meets in a skate shop on Motor Avenue. This bittersweet portrait has a nostalgic feel thanks to the 16mm film on which Hill shot the story.
