Voices Through Time (1996)

Youth, adolescence, adulthood and old age. Against the backdrop of the changing seasons in the northern Italian village of Castellaro, we see these stages of life pass by. We see the youngest villagers during their magical first spring. The blossoming teenage loves of summer. The adults and their moderate entertainment in autumn. And, looking back, the elderly in the winter of their lives. 

As spring also begins to cautiously appear on our horizon, we look at Castellaro through Piavoli's eyes. He captures the village and its inhabitants in such an atmospheric and penetrating way that we too begin to lose ourselves in the passing of time.
