Värn (2025)

During the Cold War, a Swedish farm labourer becomes increasingly preoccupied with the threat of a possible invasion. In secret, he begins to transform his farm into a self-built fortress made of scrap metal, intended as a refuge for himself and those around him.

Värn is a poetic and observant film about fear, idealism and the fine line between protection and obsession, seen through the eyes of a community watching on with wonder and bewilderment.
